Mugwort (Artemisia vulgaris)
Other Names: chrysanthemum weed, wormwood, felon herb
Description: A clump-forming rhizomatous perennial with erect flowering stems (50cm to 1.5m tall) Has aromatic foliage. Young leaves have white wooly hairs underneath their leaves. Initial leaves are generally undivided with inconspicuous teeth, whereas older leaves are deeply lobed and pointed. Stems are often red, brown or purplish. Flowers are greenish yellow and disk shaped.
Habitat: It is a weed of turfgrass, nurseries and landscapes. It grows in waste places and roadsides.
